Spring is unpredictable—not just in weather, but in social media engagement, too. Maybe your posts aren’t hitting the way they were in winter, or your audience seems quieter. Before you panic, take a breath. Engagement ebbs and flows, especially around travel-heavy seasons like spring break.
Here’s how we approach it at Garibay Media:
First, audit. Look at your posting times, formats, and CTAs. Are you giving people something to connect with or just broadcasting? Reels engagement may be down, but carousels could be climbing. Has your audience shifted platforms? Has your content gotten a little stale?
Next, refresh. Try introducing a new format (polls, behind-the-scenes videos, AMAs), spotlight a team member, or revisit a high-performing post and update it for 2025. Consider sharing seasonal content that’s lighter or more reflective of spring energy—think “what we’re loving this season” or “how our team is resetting for Q2.”
Sometimes, slowing engagement is a nudge to shift focus. It could also mean it’s time to re-engage your audience in new ways—through stories, giveaways, or community questions.
And most importantly—don’t disappear. Keep showing up. Consistency builds trust, and even if your metrics are quieter, your audience is still paying attention.
