Let’s face it. As much as we don’t want to fall into the trap of prioritizing vanity metrics like followers on Instagram, we just can’t help it. It feels good when you see that new follower icon or heart pop up on your notifications. However, I always try to emphasize to all my clients that there’s an important distinction. Followers and likes do not equate to sales. This still doesn’t change the fact that social media growth is a huge focus for many small businesses. Though I prefer to focus on quality followers over quantity, there are a few reasons why growth goals are important.
